Mayahi calling on the government to send the budget before the withdrawal of U.S. troops

He called for the Iraqi bloc white Aziz Mayahi the government to speed up to send the budget in 2012 to the Ministries of Defense and the Interior for approval by the House before the date of the withdrawal of U.S. troops from Iraq.

Economists: The withdrawal of U.S. troops will not support investment in Iraq

Baghdad, November 25 (Rn) – A number of economists that the withdrawal of U.S. troops will not support the implementation of investment projects in Iraq, stressing the need for Iraq to make changes to the investment law.

He said economic expert and director of the Center on the Iraqi market Ke Ji told the Kurdish news agency (Rn) that “the U.S. withdrawal from Iraq will not affect the subject of the entry of investment projects to the country.”

“The problem of attracting international companies to work in Iraq concerning the legal and administrative procedures for the registration of international companies to work in Iraq,” noting that U.S. forces “did not interfere with projects Iraq since formed the former Iraqi government, where he became the investment portfolio, however, Baghdad.” (more…)

Economists: Iraq did not succeed in reducing poverty during the 2011 budget

The number of Iraqi economists that Iraq has not succeeded in exploiting its projects within the budget in 2011 to alleviate poverty.

He said economic analyst Abbas Ghalibi told the Kurdish news agency (Rn) that “the Iraqi government did not succeed in alleviating the manifestations of poverty in Iraq because it failed in the subject of strengthening the ration card items and the protection of the social network as it did not work to activate the private sector in economic development.”

Planning Ministry promises to fight poverty — again

Baghdad, Oct. 17 (AKnews) – The Ministry of Planning and Development Cooperation announced to employ 3 million people in order to reduce the unemployment rate in the country.

Ministry Spokesman Andul-Zahra al-Hindawi also promised that the number or poor people in Iraq will reach 5 million people in 2014, instead of the expected estimates of 7 million.

“Iraq is working, through a higher commission of 22 MPs and 12 ministers, to reduce the phenomenon of poverty in Iraq and bringing it to 16% instead of 23%,” Hindawi said.
