BAGHDAD – Babinaoz (Reuters) – Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki to a conference of political leaders to discuss the current crisis, according to a media adviser to the owners and agency AFP.

Ali al-Moussawi said that “the Prime Minister calls for a conference of heads of blocs and Asasien leaders” to discuss “security and political imbalance at this stage.”

Confirmed by the Iraqi parliament for a coalition of state law, MP, “Jinan Brasm” in a press statement that “the meetings of leaders of political blocs will resume after the holiday to resolve the outstanding differences between them.”

She Brasm “The political blocs agreed to resolve any way the security ministries will be named after the meetings of leaders of political blocs to be the name of the candidate for this position Thouda admissibility of Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki and all the political blocs.

The leaders of political blocs agreed at their last meeting, held at the home of President Jalal Talabani, introduced a paper containing a mechanism of action of the Council of strategic policies to parliament for ratification, and the resolution of the security ministries within two weeks.

Government and political silence on the withdrawal

CNN confirmed the news that the failure of the political leaders of the decision to stay on the U.S. would reduce the possibility of bringing the troops withdrawn, declined to Talabani and Maliki’s office to answer questions about the network in this regard.

The network quoted MP Mahmoud Othman said that the leaders are unable to reach a decision on the U.S. presence after the deadline.

Baghdad, Iraq (CNN) – Iraqi political leaders were unable to meet a self-imposed deadline this weekend to decide whether to request U.S. troops stay beyond a planned end-of-the-year withdrawal, lawmakers told CNN.

The deadline imposed by President Jalal Talabani passed over the weekend with lawmakers divided over how or even whether to request an extension, raising questions about when Iraq may ask and whether it will be too late to turn around withdrawing troops.

The Secretary-General welcomes today’s announcement of a new Government in Baghdad, which has been approved by Iraq’s Council of Representatives, and congratulates Nuri al-Maliki on his confirmation as Prime Minister. This represents a major step forward in Iraq’s democratic progress.

The Secretary-General also congratulates Iraq’s political leaders for their concerted efforts to ensure that the new Government is inclusive, broadly participatory and has the support of the people of Iraq.
