Baghdad (NINA) – Leader of Iraqiya slate, Iyad Allawi, said that the situation in Iraq is going through dangerous period that requires implementing the Erbil Agreement.

In his speech announcing the slate of United Iraqiya National Alliance, Allawi said that the campaigns of intimidation and exclusion are continuing in Iraq, since many Iraqi political forces (he did not name) are subjected to insemination and exclusion and been denied to express their opinion in many forums.

Allawi added that it is clear evidence that who runs Iraq is running it in an insufficient way.

Sterling fell yesterday to its lowest level in more than two and a half years against the dollar after data showed that the manufacturing sector in Britain Shrank strongly in February last year, Stoked fears of a double-dip recession.

Data from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to Iraq to reduce its holdings of gold by a quarter to 29.9 tons last November, after efforts to strengthen reserves in recent times.

According to monthly statistics report issued by the Fund holdings have increased 9.6 tons in September and October first two total up to 39.4 tonnes before falling back in November, while the data are not available December. (more…)

Iraq’s gross domestic product is expected to grow at an average rate of about 10 percent per year over the next three years, driven by increased oil revenues, a senior central bank official said on Monday.

The OPEC member has the world’s fourth-largest oil reserves and is producing more than 3 million barrels per day (bpd) for the first time in three decades. It has ambitions to double its oil production over the next three years. (more…)

Annual inflation index rose in Iraq rose 5.7 percent after rising rents and the cost of living and services.

Russia officially notified the World Trade Organization on Monday, it ratified the Convention on its membership, which means it will become one hundred and fifty-six in the User Organization in August twenty-two.
