Council Dynamics
Though there appears to be a great deal of appetite on the Council for downgrading Iraq’s remaining obligations from Chapter VII to Chapter VI, most Council members are sensitive to Kuwait’s position on the matter and are waiting for explicit communication from Kuwait that it is ready to see Iraq exit Chapter VII. Kuwait has agreed in principle that Iraq could be released from its current Chapter VII obligations, but requires assurances that Iraqi progress on its obligations will continue. (more…)

BAGHDAD / JD / .. Said a new international report on global oil reserves that Iraq ranked 5 solution within the 10 states with the highest stock, came first in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
According to the report, seen by Agency / JD /: 4 Arab countries of existing Samn, namely Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates and Iraq.

Data from the International Monetary Fund that Iraq reduce its holdings of gold by a quarter to 9.29 tonnes last November, after efforts to strengthen reserves in recent weeks.
According to a report statistics monthly issued by the Fund and seen by “Twilight News”, has increased holdings 6.9 tons in September and October, bringing the total to 4.39 tonnes before falling back in November, and retraction came just months after a significant increase in holdings Iraq is the first since years. Data from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to Iraq to reduce its holdings of gold by a quarter to 29.9 tons last November, after efforts to strengthen reserves in recent times.
According to monthly statistics report issued by the Fund holdings have increased 9.6 tons in September and October first two total up to 39.4 tonnes before falling back in November, while the data are not available December. (more…)
