CBI: Switch currency and delete zeros will take two years

Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of the appearance of Mohammed Saleh, said that the process of switching the currency and delete zeros will not be completed this year and completion will take approximately two years.

BAGHDAD (Iba) .. Awarded the Korea University in Seoul by Prime Minister Nuri Kamal al-Maliki an honorary doctorate degree in political science.

Maliki said in a speech during the ceremony held by the university, said he is a great honor for me to get this certificate and this results in every respect and appreciation.

The average exchange rate of the Korean won is expected to hover at 1,093 won to the U.S. dollar ($0.0009) this year, a report by a state-run think tank showed Wednesday.

The Korea Development Institute (KDI) report said that the local currency should gain in value vis-a-vis the greenback on the strength of such developments as steady economic growth and favorable trade balance.

The Cabinet decided at its second regular Tuesday to approve increasing the amount of cash advance for public works contracts provided for the public sector companies concluded with all ministries and departments not associated with the Ministry to the proportion (20%) of the value of those contracts.

He said government spokesman Ali al-Dabbagh said in a statement issued by his office that the approval was based on the General Budget Law for 2010 / Article (11).
