Iraqi Parliament Speaker Osama Al-nujaifi said in an interview with the newspaper (the day), on the sidelines of the 19th Conference of the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union in Kuwait, “the missing files and archive between Iraq and Kuwait have made significant progress and that the compensation and debt file will be resolved during the year.”

Al-nujaifi said in the newspaper interview published Friday, that “eject Iraq from Chapter VII requires a letter from Kuwait for the Security Council to take a positive about it,” go hard for both countries to normalize their relations and close all files, stressing that Kuwait’s intentions toward Iraq are good, especially after the fulfilment of his many commitments. ” (more…)

Baghdad, October 24 / October (Rn) – The United Nations envoy in Iraq, Martin Kobler said that Iraq will face challenges after the U.S. withdrawal end of the year, adding that the Iraqi government must work to build good relations with neighboring countries.

Kubler said during his speech at the occasion of the anniversary of Baghdad’s 66 for the start of the United Nations Mission in the world, “there may be some of the challenges facing Iraq had after the U.S. withdrawal … Iraq must prove to the world as a sovereign state, a determine their own future.”

The Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament Osama al-Nujaifi , met with speaker of the Kuwaiti National Assembly Jassem Al-Kharafi on the sidelines of the 5th International Conference in Support of the Palestinian Intifada which is currently held in Tehran.

The two sides, at the meeting , discussed the bilateral ties between Iraq and Kuwait . They agreed to resort to constructive dialogue and understandings in solving any problem between the two countries especially the issue of Mubarak port construction .

Kuwait will not accept any damage to Iraqi interests, al- Kharafi said , emphasizing that his country will reduce the stages of Mubarak port to three and the last one will be completed after five decades.

The U.S. dollar is worth more than ten thousand Iranian riyals while the Euro is worth more than 15 thousand riyals.

The plan to change the currency has been on the government’s agenda since the last year, but only recently agreed to reduce the currency’s denomination.

Bahmani clarified that the Central Bank and the government are planning to rename the local currency without revealing further details.
