Announced the Office of the Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki said there was no owners in the Facebook page and Twitter.

The clarification posted on the official website of the Prime Minister on the Internet “because of the number of pages social networking sites (Facebook and Twitter) are attributed to the Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki, we wish to emphasize that there were no sovereignty any personal page or official on these sites.” (more…)

An official source at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kuwait traded health of news via social networking (Twitter), on a statement of a coalition of state law in Iraq on dropping Kuwait billion dollars of debt with no signature or agreement on the demarcation of the border between the two countries.

The source said in a statement to the Kuwaiti newspaper Al-Gazette that “Kuwait had settled with Iraq worth only $ 500 million related to the issue of Kuwait Airways and Iraqi forces.” (more…)

Baghdad (CNN) — Iraqi activists and a gamut of groups ranging from intellectuals to unemployed workers to widows are preparing for large demonstrations Friday in al-Tahrir square in central Baghdad, along with large protests in most of Iraq’s provinces.

The organizers have used Facebook, Twitter and websites to circulate invitations for demonstrations on February 25, calling them the “Iraqi revolution.” A Facebook page called “The Iraqi Revolution” includes still pictures and videos of previous demonstrations in Iraq and claims nearly 20,000 supporters.
