Said U.S. embassy spokesman Michael McClellan, Saturday, that the number of staff of the Embassy of his country’s current close to 15 thousand, pointing out that it was knowingly and consent of the Iraqi government, as pointed out that this number is similar to the number of employees at U.S. embassies in several countries.

Urgent .. Senior U.S. official arrives Baghdad in the coming hours

Baghdad (news) .. Up in a few hours a senior U.S. official in Baghdad on a visit for a day or two.

A source at the Iraqi Foreign Ministry (of the Agency news) on Sunday: that a senior U.S. official will arrive in Baghdad over the next two-day visit or two.

The source, who declined to be official, who will arrive: he would meet immediately after the arrival of Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki, will also meet President of the Republic and then receives the President of the House of Representatives Osama Najafi, will also meet a number of political leaders.

BAGHDAD – Babinaoz: deliberate political circles reported an expected visit by U.S. Vice President Joseph Biden to Baghdad to hold talks was described as “confidential” related to the position of Washington adheres to the requirement of granting immunity for its troops remaining in Iraq.

Baghdad, October 3 / October (Rn) – The U.S. Embassy in Baghdad on Monday, that the White House in Washington has not yet issued any statement about the visit of U.S. Vice President Joe Biden to Iraq.

The comments by Iraqi officials have confirmed that the Vice President Joe Biden will visit Baghdad this month to discuss a U.S. presence in Iraq after the date of the withdrawal of its troops from the country at the end of this year.

The Maliki government is negotiating with Washington to keep the coaches after the American withdrawal date, but informed sources pointed to the faltering negotiations after Iraq refused to give coaches the Americans immunity from prosecution in Iraq.

BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: Iraq’s President, Jalal Talabani, and the U.S. Ambassador to Baghdad, James Jeffery, have discussed in Baghdad on Friday means for activating the next meeting of the Political Leaders to settle their current differences, a Presidency statement reported.

The US ambassador in Baghdad said on Saturday that the State Department has asked for a $6.2 billion budget for Iraq in 2012, underscoring that its oil and gas reserves were critical for the world’s future energy needs.

“This country is on a glide path to increase its oil exports,” Ambassador James Jeffrey told reporters at the sprawling US embassy in Baghdad, the world’s largest.

The embassy plans to double in size next year to 16,000 personnel, when it takes over many military tasks after US troops pull out of Iraq at the end of this year, including military sales and training of Iraqi security forces.

$6.2 billion budget for the U.S. embassy in Baghdad in 2012

BAGHDAD (AFP): The U.S. ambassador in Baghdad, said the request for the 2012 budget for the Embassy of $6.2 billion dollars, pointing to the importance of these funds to assist in the development of Iraq, the country’s main dam in the global needs in energy.

Plans to the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad, the largest embassy in the world, doubling the number of employees in 2012 to a 16-thousand employees, in order to take a number of tasks currently assigned to the soldiers of the 50 thousand Americans who are still in Iraq and Sagadrunh the end of this year.

Ambassador James Jeffrey, told reporters that “this country will increase its exports of oil. Now is to issue 2.3 million barrels a day, but this figure could rise to four million or six million barrels per day within four or five years.”

Baghdad, June 12 (Rn) – The U.S. embassy in Baghdad, Sunday, that the Government of the United States has allocated two billion dollars to support the Iraqi security forces and prisons, indicating that the statement made by members of the U.S. Congress from statements made by the need to push Iraq to the financial compensation due to loss of the U.S. military in Iraq does not represent the opinion of the U.S. administration.

Criticized the Kurdistan Alliance MP Mahmoud Othman, Thursday, unannounced visits to U.S. officials in Iraq, saying such visits lack of evidence of the recognition of the United States of “Iraq as a state”, calling for the rejection of unannounced visits to the Americans.

And MP Mahmoud Othman said in an interview for “Alsumaria News”, “surprise visits to U.S. officials in Iraq confirmed that the United States of America does not recognize Iraq as a nation,” noting that the United States if they recognize Iraq as a state of informed visits officials by sending envoys, as do the rest of the world ” .

State Department and the Iraqi government Hosted the first meeting within the Strategic Framework Agreement

Baghdad, 23 March (Rn) – The U.S. Embassy in Iraq on Wednesday, held for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Iraqi government’s first meeting of the Joint Coordination Committee for cooperation of cultural, educational and scientific cooperation between the two countries, within the Strategic Framework Agreement.

A spokesman for the United States Embassy in Baghdad Aaron Snape told the Kurdish news agency (Rn) that “the State Department held its first meeting within the strategic framework agreement with the Iraqi government represented by the Minister of Education Mohammed Tamim,” adding that “the meeting was attended by the heads and representatives of groups of the Commission’s work on the American side “.
