The White House announced in Washington that U.S. Vice President Joe Biden met this afternoon Deputy Prime Minister of Iraq for Energy, Hussain al-Shahristani, and discussed with him in various important issues that concern Iraq and the Middle East.
He said a brief statement that the Vice President of the Republic thanked the Iraqi Deputy Prime Minister for his participation in this week’s meeting, which convened in Washington for the US-Iraqi joint coordination of energy. Baghdad (AIN) –The White House assured that “The US Vice-President Joe Biden received on Friday the Iraqi Deputy Premier for Energy Affairs Hussein al-Shahristani and discussed with him issues of interest for Iraq and the Middle East.”
A concise statement by the White House mentioned that “The US VP appreciated the participation of the Iraqi DP at the meeting held by the Iraqi- US Coordination Committee for Energy in Washington during this week.”
